Angela-Lee-LoyAngela Lee Loy has the distinction of being elected the first female President of ICAC. She is also the first female President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad & Tobago (ICATT).

The ICAC’s initiative to implement a regional practice monitoring programme became a reality during her presidency with the formal signing of Memoranda of Understanding with the ACCA for the commencement of the programme in Barbados, Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago. The historic signing took place on June 27, 2008 during the opening ceremony of the ICAC’s Annual Caribbean Conference in Trinidad and Tobago. The practice monitoring programme is one of the most significant achievements of the accountancy profession in the Caribbean and has served to enhance quality assurance review systems within the profession.
 
Ms. Lee Loy is the Chairman of Aegis Business Solutions Limited, one of the first companies in Trinidad and Tobago to primarily focus on business outsourcing and advisory services to SMEs and foreign investors. Her professional experience spans over 40 years’ in Auditing and Business Advisory Services with Aegis and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

She is the former Trinidad and Tobago representative on the International Assembly of ACCA and was honored by the ACCA in 2008 with the Achievement Award for the Americas for her outstanding contribution to the accountancy profession and to business and society.

She is currently the President of the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries (TTCSI). Ms. Lee Loy serves on several Boards including Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit committee for Prestige Holdings Limited and for 138 Student Living Jamaica Limited, both public companies. In addition, she is also Chairman and Non-Executive Director of the Audit committee of Gulf Insurance Limited and Non-Executive Director and member of the Audit committee of Assuria Life (T&T) Limited.  

Within the NGO sector, she is currently Chairman of the Music Literacy Trust; Chairman of the Social Justice Foundation and she also sits on the Finance Council of the Archdiocese of Port of Spain. Ms. Lee Loy is also the former Chairman of Trinidad and Tobago’s National AIDS Coordinating Committee (NACC) and she continues to play an integral role in the development of the NGO sector and business community in Trinidad and Tobago.
