MISSION
STATEMENT
ICAC is the internationally
recognized body for the
accountancy profession in the
Caribbean, with an expanding
influence in the region. It
regulates the profession and
promotes the highest standards
of professional and ethical
conduct. Through thought
leadership and the provision of
research, CPD (Continuing
Professional development) and
other services, it adds value to
its members and the wider
community.
For
the past ten years, the ICAC was pursuing the
development of Caribbean Examinations in Taxation
and Company Law. At a meeting in November 2001
in Barbados, a resolution was passed by the ICAC Directors
not to spend any additional funds on the development
of examinations. Instead, ICAC will now
explore
the provision of relevant examinations in Taxation
and Company Law under the aegis of appropriate
grantors of credentials such as the Association
of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and
the Certified General Accountants Association
of Canada (CGA).
