Joel-EdwardsAs President of the ICAC, Joel Edward's vision was to foster a strong, cohesive and self-regulated profession in the region and to facilitate the establishment of a regional monitoring system to support the regulatory capacity of the profession within the Caribbean.

A Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT) from 1995 to 1998, he served as a member of the ICATT Council from 1992 to 2004.

He has held various managerial and executive positions in the fields of management information systems, internal auditing, corporate planning, strategic planning/business development, corporate services and financial controllership at a number of large private and public companies, prior to forming his own firm in 2006, The Cyber Consulting Group Limited, based in Trinidad and specializing in financial services, organization development and transformation and general management consulting.

Mr. Edwards has had a long and distinguished career in the Co-operative Credit Union Movement in Trinidad and Tobago, having served as the President of Grastaff Credit Union (now VENTURE Credit Union) from 1991 – 1994; a member of the Credit Union League’s Supervisory Committee for the period 1992-1993; a member of the Board of Directors of the Co-operative Development Bank from 1991 to1992 and as Chairman of the Trinidad and Tobago Credit Union Stabilization Board from 1993 – 1998.

In 1998, Mr. Edwards was appointed by the Minister of Labor and Co-operatives as Chairman of a Cabinet-appointed Committee mandated to develop a policy framework for the development of the Co-operative Sector in Trinidad & Tobago. In that year he was also appointed by the Minister of Social Development as a Member of the Social Displacement Board.

He has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Caribbean Court of Justice as well as on the Board of the Air Transport Licensing Authority and the National Quarries Company Limited. In 2014, he was appointed to the Trinidad and Tobago Integrity Commission.
